Dear Solape,
I can’t believe it is the end of July already, five months to Christmas! Yaaay! How have you been doing? It took me ages to write to you again. Please, pardon me.
I was reflecting and I thought to share this with you. I love to plan ahead of time. I literally plan all my tasks for the day including the minutes it takes me to walk from my house to a store or the time I would need to cook a meal. I plan a lot in summary. However, I’ve come to realise that no matter how good my plans are, God has a way of rearranging them for the glory of His name. Oh! many times I planned and it didn’t go my way. It would hurt me so badly I would cry.
Who said walking with God was easy? It is not easy, my love, because when you live a life of total surrender to the will of God, the things you love, the plans you have and the people you have had around you may need to change so you can align perfectly with His will. I know this sounds simple but it can be also be very tough when these adjustments begin.
To conclude Solape, just like gold becomes refined in a furnace, the potter continues to mould and shape us carefully until we become a masterpiece.
I still make plans but when I do, I always leave room for God because even when my plans get disrupted, His plans are always a million times better than any plan I could’ve ever thought of.
And what do they say again? Man proposes, God disposes.
I’m glad I got to share this with you. Stay aligned and joyful until I write to you again. I’ll remember you in my prayers always.
Love from,
Ritaabisola
